Replacement for previous instant death GE microwav

Only bought another GE microwave because space already configured to the 1.7 we had for a total of 18 mos before it died a sudden death. Plus all my other appliances are slate. Also disappointed because I thought I was purchasing American made appliances. Inside label says Made in Malaysia.

Had for two months. The matching slate finish on the 4 appliances are easy to clean and fingerprints are not an issue. We do not cook many meals, mostly reheating, thawing frozen food and melting butter etc. Unit performs all of our needs outstanding.

I need one new appliance and decided to update all of them. I was so surprised by the quality of the microwave. I didn't realize that I even needed it. All of the settings you need, heats fast, nice large plate. Fantastic.

Excellent microwave - but as an over the stove microwave the fan has to be set on extremely high to pull the steam off the stove. This is the only negative on a great little microwave!

The unit came in great shape, and replaced a 15-year old unit. The cooking sensors are a big improvement. The unit reheats food and drinks very well, and has good defrost and steam clean features. Quieter than the old one as well.

I received this microwave right before Thanksgiving and it’s absolutely perfect. I called Grand Appliance a week before Thanksgiving and explained that my other microwave stopped working. The suggested a few things to try to fix it but that didn’t work. I explained how I was having a large number of people coming for the holiday and they ensured me that I would get one in time. And it did! They called a day later to make sure we had installed it and how it went. Easy insulation, beautiful piece.
