Absolutely love this hood. It is so quiet you forget to switch it off. The glass edge LED lighting is so useful and unique. Easy to clean and really makes the kitchen look so professional. The only negative comment I have is the protective film on the chimney/cover was so extremely difficult to remove. You cannot remove in situ, it must be done before installing. Then give it a good clean with a stainless steel cleaner. This is a note for the designers.

I bought this unit because of the ability to mount the blower in the attic for noise reduction. The site write ups sound like it is included but what is included is the blower motor. You have to purchase an "In-Line Smart Kit" to mount the blower motor you already purchased in the attic. For another approximately $350 you get a metal box with not everything you need to mount the blower motor in the attic. WAY TOO MUCH MONEY for this item!!! In addition, you still have to buy additional items to install it (9 strand 14 AWG wire). If you are willing to spend over $1000 for a range hood then this might be an option but personally this is RIDICULOUS!!

Looks great but product is terrible

I bought this product less than a year ago. I cook a lot but this product does not work as advertised. Its extremely loud and does not remove the smoke or smell from anything. I still have to open the windows and doors no matter how little smoke to smell is in the food. This is a terrible product for which I would really like to replace. Complete waste of money.

We just installed and now we have to replace the motor. The low speed never worked and the med - high speed would stop after 15 min of operation. (Plus burnt wire smell in house) Now waiting to have new motor installed in the attic w/ in line smart kit.

Just had this installed a week ago. It looks professional. We paid a lot for the LED lights. They are weak, poor quality light. We paid extra for a "quiet" motor: it is not that quiet.

Lighting is not very good

I bought this unit a few years ago. The lighting is weak and now after only a few years the LED lights won't come on and the repair guy said I have to purchase a $175 control unit. The fans are also loud unless on low. This was part of a complicated design process that would be very hard to replace but I am very disappointed in this unit for the price.

Very pleased with this hood. The combination of glass and steel is a rich looking. The fan is quite; only audible on high. Under lighting is very good. The lighting within the glass edge is quite unique.
