Good looking cooler. Quiet and keeps the temperature correctly. The only issue is that that bottle size makes pulling the drawers out problematic. 750 ML bottles are bigger and the shelves are a little too close.

Broke down in 9 months

Woke us up in the middle of a night when it wouldn't stop beeping even though door stays shut. Unit stop cooling. Warranty service is horrible, the servicemen doesn't know what is wrong with the unit, second guessing the fixes and it's still sitting duck.Very disappointed, will never buy another Whirlpool appliance.

Insanely loud. Stay away

There is a brand new one of these in my new apartment. It is ridiculously loud. Makes an annoying ringing sound like a dentist's drill. The noise fluctuates to so it's not even something you can get used to (not that you would want to). I've shut it off and used it for storage.

Even if it was quiet there are other issues like spacing of the shelves. Makes it impossible to store anything that's a little fatter than a standard wine bottle. So it can't even store champagne. Honestly it is a complete waste of kitchen space.

Just installed this unit and have three items to be aware of if you are considering it:1. The door needs around 120 degrees to open or the rack will clip the the door gasket when it is slid in or out.2. The energy efficiency of this unit is poor. The energy guide range for similar units is a low of 114 KWH to 440 KWH, this unit comes in at 380 KWH.3. The base of the unit is back about two inches from the face of the door, so it sticks out about two inches from the cabinet toekick.

Nice Wine Cooler but Makes Funny Sounds

Great looking and functioning wine cooler. It has modern looking blue LED lights when you open up the door which is a nice tough. The outer dimensions are 2' wide by 2' deep and it is basically a steel box with no recesses on the outer case, which means the front of the cooler will protrude from the face of your 2' deep base cabinets because it needs a few inches of space for air behind (there is a vent at the bottom of the rear side) and room for the plug (if the outlet is behind it). The compressor does make some peculiar pumping noises which I didn't realize was coming from the cooler at first because it didn't sound like a typical compressor sound from a refrigerator and I thought it might be from the sump pump in the Basement. The manual that comes with the cooler mentions that it does make some unique sounds. It takes a little getting used to and if you have other appliances near by that emit some noise it may drown out the pumping sounds. I don't have anything near the cooler so it's more noticeable to me. Otherwise it looks great and seems to keep my reds at a constant cool temperature.

We have had our wine cooler for three months. VERY, VERY quite. We love it. Before we got this one, had a Avanti. Was terrible. Had the store come back and pick it up. They sent another Avanti. Same problem, very loud. Then we got the Whirlpool. What a difference.
