The strong tone-on-tone pattern of inlay veneer is softened by a ruddy, hand-worked patina that seems to improve with each meal. Underneath, the gentle curve of iron adds a lighthearted wink to the heavy wood frame. The curved design of the forged iron bracing cables is repeated in the sweep of the dual polished-wood bases, then again in the round bun and stylized florettes that adorn each leg.
