Auto MCACC (Multi Channel Acoustic Calibration) ensures easy set-up and multi-channel accuracy. First, it listens with the supplied room calibration microphone, to how well your speakers and room get along, then it makes adjustments to ensure that sound from each speaker is reaching your ears at the same time and same volume. As to any issues your speakers and room may have, Auto MCACC applies professional level acoustic equalization therapy to each speaker, ensuring you hear the real soundtrack. Three component video inputs provide high-definition and progressive scan video switching. The VSX-816-S is also one of the first receivers to offer XM-HD Radio with Neural Surround.
