The UD7005 is not only a Blu-ray player offering the full BD-Live specif cation, it is also DLNA 1.5-certifed, which means it can also stream audio and video stored on your home network. Also, to ensure top audio quality, it includes a special decoder for HD sound formats and uses a 32-bit audio DAC with 7.1 analogue channel out. The audio stage uses customized components and the unit can even play the high resolution SACDs via the fast loading mechanism. Standard DVDs gets a quality boost too thanks to Anchor Bay's ABT 2015 VRS video processing, which outputs 1080p from standard material via the HDMI 1.4a port, which also makes the player 3D-ready. But as with all Marantz sets it's musicality that reins supreme, and to ensure the best from CDs there's a Pure Direct Mode.
