Wanted to Love This Kettle

I fell in love with this kettle when I first saw it; it was exactly what I was looking for.
However, after only a few months of using it, I have been forced to boil water for my tea in a saucepan, as the water boiled in my electric kettle has a very strong chlorine smell and affects the taste of my tea. I have tried cleaning the filter and rinsing the kettle with vinegar as suggested in the manual, however, the chlorine smell remains. I am very disappointed, as sadly, I have to return my kettle.

I bought this kettle about one year ago. I love my kettle. I'm English and I drink about 6 - 10 cups of tea, a day. It heats up quickly which I like, but, during the heating process it makes a loud popping sound! This past weekend it died on me! Just quit working, for absolutely no reason. I am very saddened by this. I was looking forward to a long lasting relationship with my Kitchen Aid Kettle. I paid more money for this particular kettle than any other kettle I've ever bought. Over the years I've bought a lot of kettles, non of which were the caliber of Kitchen Aid! I'm so sad.

This was a gift. It is so cute! I use it all the time to make tea and I drink a lot of tea. The only challenge is that the water level gauge is difficult to see when putting water in. But all the solutions I can think of would not be good so I think it is the best it can be.

Il y a une forte odeur de plastique ou métal qui se transmet au gout de l'eau... Je suis vraiment déçue étant donnée le prix de la bouilloire. J'ai payé un peu plus chère pour avoir de la qualité mais je ne pourrai pas la garder, même après plusieurs utilisation, l'eau a une mauvaise odeur...

I bought this beautiful kettle and still very happy with the purchase. Still, I have to clean it with boiled water and vinegar to get over calcaire.
