It is working OK so far. I'll give it another star if it is still OK in about 10 years. We just wanted to replace our existing GE microwave that burned out after about 15 years. A repair guy said that we should just replace it. Too expensive to fix.

This JES2051DNWW is supposed to be a countertop model but I bought it from Home Depot because the sales guy there said that it would work fine mounted in a cabinet. He said that I should buy a mounting kit from Micro-Trim in Santa Anna. I would need that to be sure that there would be enough air circulation around the oven. I called GE customer support and they said that it would never work. Would overhead and burn out within two months, they said. Also, the warranty would be voided by the cabinet installation. The Micro-Trim people assured me that it would not burn out. Their entire business is making mounting kits for installing counter-top Microwave units in cabinets. So I took a chance and went the Micro-Trim route.

I bought the installation kit and used it to do the cabinet install. I think that it looks great. And it hasn't burned out yet even though we have had it in the cabinet for more than two months.

The countertop model plus the trim kit ($200 each) cost about the same as a cabinet model ($400). I didn't buy the cabinet model because it got bad reviews everywhere that I looked. Apparently, the door latch on that one tends to break. Have not had that problem with this JES2051DNWW model.

We used this model for many years and with frequent use. When it recently stopped working, we had to replace it with the same model. It has a large turntable for multiple pieces to be heated at one time when entertaining, yet isn't super huge. It works great for small uses also. Saw that Good Housekeeping has it as one of the top six microwaves in a recent review. We understand why!

We like the express buttons, cleanup is pretty easy, the price was ok, we were surprised we didn’t find this on showroom floors - we only saw black and stainless steel that we didn’t want.

ThIs GE Microwave's most important function is to warm up my coffee in the morning. It does a fantastic job doing that. The reheat function takes the guesswork out of eating leftovers. Popcorn works well too. It fit perfectly on my cabinet.

Only had it a short time but so far we are very pleased. We have it on a shelf just below the countertop in lower cabinet with electric outlet in back wall. (with room around for airflow) Easy to use. Lots of room inside for large dishes- great design with curved back interior so no corners that get gunky. We like the cooking and reheat options. Sensor gets things a bit warmer than we'd need them, but works well. The mute button is great too!

Good features but the quality of the microwave isn't great. The door seems flimsy..Not as durable as they used to be....This is the second one in less than 30 days. Had to return the other because the door didn't close right. This one was ordered and the door is flimsy.
