Good performance. "Reheat" button is convenient, "popcorn" button works basically perfectly. The power cord is too short: it can't even reach a low wall outlet from a standard counter height. If space is an issue, you can probably go a size smaller. This does take up a good chunk of counter space.

The price is good. I need something simple and functional. It heat up faster than the one I had. the glass plate inside is thin, wish to be heavy enough. If you could design a self-cleaning feature, I will buy another one from you. Your brand name is accountable.

This microwave only lasted 40 days ! ! !

I bought a GE JES1460DSWW microwave in October, 2018. 40 days later, I was using it, and smelled a very strong odor that indicated something electrical was burning in my kitchen. Shortly thereafter, the microwave and all lights went off. When I opened the door, everything came back on, so I tried to continue using it to only have the same thing occur - burning smell then cut-off. It was useless after only 40 days!

NOTE: GE can edit portions of the following, if you think it is not relevant to this review.

I called GE customer service and they told me to unplug it an quit using it. In that it was a microwave (which GE does not repair under warranty), I was told to peel off the serial number sticker and mail it to GE; and that GE would mail me special "gift card" (within 7 business days) that could only be used to purchase another GE microwave.

In that I didn't want to wait that long and wasn't particularly keen on getting another "lemon," I went to the store where I purchased it and asked them to take it back and return it to GE, even though I had the microwave for 40 days vs. the store's return policy of only 30 days.

Fortunately, the store agreed to do this, but would not give me my money back - I only received a store credit. I could not use the store credit because they did not have any similar microwaves in stock, so I went to another store and bought a different brand microwave. I'm not sure when I'll be able to use the store credit, but I did not have a choice - at least I got rid of the inferior GE microwave. I've previously owned three non-GE microwaves, and each has lasted about 10 years. My experience with this GE product was truly horrible, with respect to both product quality and customer support/warranty.

For the first 3 days it was perfect! Then the rattle started. Took back to store and they opened it and tightened everything they could and also turned a baffle. Still rattles. Drives me crazy but we needed it so I picked it up anyway. May take it back again but not sure they can do any more. Below question is a "no, not at this time".

Within a few weeks, the microwave began having a burning smell every time it ran. The buttons only work randomly. Sometimes the buttons work and the timer runs, but the microwave doesn't run. Very disappointed in this purchase. We'll see if the warranty does us any good, but I'm not expecting much.
