Purchased this dishwasher as a replacement for one that retained water when cycle was complete. This dishwasher was better but also did the same. Technician advised it was our water pressure issue. The racks on our older one were more friendly for glasses. It is not a quiet model. Am sure more expensive models would be quieter.

Does the job, small on the inside

We bought this dishwasher to put in our house that we are hopefully selling. Our last one stopped working and we needed a cheap replacement. This one does the job. My only complaint is how the inside is set up, I can only fit about half as many dishes in there as I could in my last dishwasher.

I got this brand new yesterday installed since we thought my old one died (but ended up being poor work from the electrician on my garbage disposal). This dishwasher is a joke! The racks are flimsy cheap and not sturdy, the door has no hinge to drop down, it just crashes down if you're not holding it when opening, the bottom rack rolls back into the unit while trying to load. The top one is just as the other low reviews say, not designed for anything besides 8 oz glasses and SMALL flat plates. No food containers (e.g., tupperware), bowls, large mugs or soup cups fit. ONLY small normal sized glasses and small saucers. Nothing is secured into the top unit, either, so anything plastic isn't secured in place due to poor design. The washer is very small inside and this is coming from a 1 person household. I am so disappointed that if I could get my old dishwasher back, I would but I am a renter. I am ashamed, GE - and I always stand by American made, too.

Quality at an Economical Price

This dishwasher is a basic model (no electronics-yeah!) that has provided GE quality at an affordable price. It is quiet and does an excellent job of getting all the dishes clean. I'm sure the engineers must have had a design plan for how to effectively load the dishwasher; it would have been nice to see a diagram included for how to make the most of the space.

You must remove all food from dishes first

You have to remove all food from dishes even if you fill the dish washer and run it right away, you make sure that no food partials are left on the dishes as it will not come off!
