Soap dispenser doesn't always open

So far this dishwasher washes well when the soap dispenser opens. I feel like the design of the trays that you put the dishes in are not optimal to put anything in except plates and cups. Every time I try to wash a frying pan or something else like that it doesn't fit in the sides where they say to put it and the places it does fit makes the soap dispenser not open. Very frustrating!

Easy to load dishes, I use cascade platinum actionpacs to wash dishes and the dishes,pots,pans, silverware all come out very clean. the washer is so quiet you hardly know its running. Best washer I ever had. The controls are very easy to use and it does a great job.

hard water stains

I have bought detergent and rinse six that are for hard water still getting terrible hard water stains on dishes. dishes come out dirtier then going in. have another product coming that's supposed to prevent this. well see.

We needed a dishwasher because doing dishes the old fashioned way was too time-consuming! The racks are a bit different than the previous dishwasher so there's some adjustment learning going on! All in all, it works great. With the colds & flu seasons upon us, we're grateful for the extra precaution of sanitization.

Ge sells great, basic workhorse appliances. They might not have a lot of bells and whistles compared to more expensive brands but they do the job beautifully. Whatever I put in this dishwasher comes out spottless. Simply open the door; put in the dishes; push a button; close the door. Simple. It's quiet and it's much faster than my friend's much more expensive dishwasher. His cupboards are full of cloudy glasses thanks to his top-of-line dishwasher. Maybe he's using the wrong settings or not placing his dishes in the racks properly but my GE isn't picky about details. I just washes the dishes!
