We have had the freezer for a month and have not had any issues. It cooled down quickly upon plugging it in. We purchased it to replace a bait freezer that had failed (it was close to 20 yrs old). Maintains its cold, despite the guys repeatedly going into for bait. Have no complaints after 1 month.

This is just what I needed. A good stable unit that will hold lots of items and keep its temperature. Sure an upright freezer is easier for finding items, but if you use the baskets and add some extra crates you can organize. Although there really isn’t a good charge option that fits correctly with the baskets and rails. However, it works perfectly for what I need. Plus I don’t have to worry about someone leaving the door cracked open by accident.

What would be nice is a basket option for the bottom of the freezer and more baskets. But there are ways around that for now.

Good size but noisy

The freezer is good size. The two levels of tray may look good but limit the useable space. The bottom needs dividers like the 21cu ft freezer. Should have more trays at top level. I had to order 2 more and will have to make my own dividers. Freezer makes some odd noises. Would not be suitable i living areas. Seems to cool well though. I wish i got the 21 cu ft one now.

Had a much larger freezer of yours for over 20 years it was still working exceptionally. We just recently redid our garage and needed to down size. Of course GE had the perfect size we needed. Although I hate to let go of the old one which still worked fine I'm happy to have received the new one which has more compartments and is newly updated. I'm positive that I will get many years out of this product. I love the new freezer I received today and cannot wait to stock it.

We purchased this item 2 months ago and it has worked out well, holding about the same amount as our older freezer. This one is easier for my wife to use since it is not as wide or deep as the last one. The trays are also very helpful. There will be some problems with defrosting, maybe more often with this one
