This is a replacement for an identical unit I purchased 3 months ago. While I was not pleased with that, GE was helpful and refunded the purchase price, as long as bought another GE product. Hopefully this one lasts longer.

Until we had days and days of incredible amounts of rain and my 5 year old Sump Pump failed, this dehumidifier worked really well. Unfortunately it was plugged in and I had 4 inches of water standing in my basement, day 5 of the Rain event.

The product is poorly made. Filter required manual manipulation each time reservoir is removed. Noise and vibration is controlled by a shake or a bang. It is a cheap piece of junk. I will steer clear of ge products in the future.

I am very pleased with this dehumidifier. It is quiet, even on high fan. I like that it cuts off automatically when the bucket gets full too. It has taken care of our humidity problem in our condo in Florida.

I bought this for our beach house which has had mold problems and it replaces an older unit that no longer worked. It is very quiet compared to our older unit and we are able to have it drain directly into the kitchen sink so that it never needs to be emptied.

We keep it in the basement set to 45%. Works great and is relatively quiet. We empty it out about once every 2 days or after a heavy rain. We have a block basement so moisture naturally is present. It’s shuts off when it meets the set parameter and then kicks on when needed. Definitely a good buy.
