And Compatibility mode automatically supports not just the AirPort Extreme Card, but also the previous version of the AirPort Card and any other 802.11b-compliant product - Mac or Windows Compatibility mode enables both AirPort and AirPort Extreme-enabled computers to use an AirPort Extreme Base Station at the same time. The AirPort Extreme Base Station also delivers additional advantages. Like the 10/100Mbps WAN port that provides connectivity to DSL and cable modems. And the USB connector for Mac OS X v10.2.3 "Jaguar" printer sharing. 10/100BASE-T Ethernet port: The AirPort Extreme Base Station features a second Ethernet port that allows a single Internet connection to be shared with wired computers as well. By connecting a single computer directly to this port, or several Macs and PCs using a hub, users can place all of their computers behind the protection of the 128-bit AirPort Extreme firewall.
